Everything runs over Bluetooth between phones that are physically close. If nobody nearby has NearFun, there's no one to talk to — that's the point. 一切都在彼此靠近的手机之间通过蓝牙完成。附近没人装 NearFun，就没人可聊——它本来就是为身边的人设计的。

Pick a nickname起个昵称
No phone number, email or account. Choose English or 中文 and a name people will see.不需要手机号、邮箱或账号。选好语言（English 或中文），起个别人能看到的昵称。

NearFun finds phones around you and links them into a mesh. It asks for Bluetooth permission; it doesn't read your location.NearFun 会发现周围的手机并把它们连成网状网络。它需要蓝牙权限，但不会读取你的位置。

Messages hop phone to phone消息在手机间接力
Each phone passes messages on to the next, up to 5 hops — about 50–250 m in total. A private message to someone out of range waits on your phone for 24 hours and goes out when you meet again.每台手机把消息转给下一台，最多 5 跳，总共覆盖约 50–250 米。发给不在范围内的人的私信会在你手机上等待 24 小时，再次相遇时送达。

Do I need internet or mobile data?需要网络或流量吗？
No. Chats and posts go over Bluetooth between phones. The only thing that uses the internet is the optional usage statistics, and only when your phone is already online.不需要。聊天和帖子都通过蓝牙在手机之间传递。唯一会用到网络的是可关闭的使用统计，而且只在手机本来就联网时才发送。
How far does it reach?能传多远？
A direct Bluetooth link reaches roughly 10–50 m. Messages can be relayed up to 5 hops, covering about 50–250 m in total. The more people nearby use NearFun, the further it reaches.两台手机直连大约 10–50 米。消息最多可转发 5 跳，总共覆盖约 50–250 米。附近用 NearFun 的人越多，能传得越远。
Do I need an account?需要注册账号吗？
No. You just pick a nickname. NearFun gives you an 8-digit ID that people nearby see next to your name.不需要，起个昵称就行。NearFun 会给你一个 8 位数字 ID，显示在你的昵称旁边。
Why does it need Bluetooth (and sometimes Location) permission?为什么需要蓝牙（有时还要定位）权限？
Bluetooth is how NearFun finds and connects to nearby phones. On some Android versions, Bluetooth scanning only works with Location switched on. NearFun doesn't read your location.NearFun 靠蓝牙发现和连接附近的手机。在部分安卓版本上，必须打开定位才能进行蓝牙扫描。NearFun 不会读取你的位置。
Messages stop arriving when the app is in the background切到后台后收不到消息怎么办？
Some phones (vivo, Xiaomi, Huawei, OPPO and others) close apps in the background. In your phone's battery settings, set NearFun to unrestricted and allow it to start automatically. The app shows you how.部分手机（vivo、小米、华为、OPPO 等）会在后台关闭应用。请在手机的电池设置里把 NearFun 设为「不限制」，并允许自启动。应用内有设置指引。
Is there an iPhone version?有 iPhone 版吗？
Not at the moment. NearFun is Android only.目前没有，NearFun 暂时只支持安卓。
